About Trail Running Holidays

Our runs are all tried and tested – by us! We love them all because they take you through beautiful surroundings, helping you to explore your limits and discover the local countryside. You could be scaling single-track climbs, passing through pine woodland, olive groves, and Spanish villages all on one run.

We mix up our itinerary to choose trails to suit you since we have wide choice of terrain and routes. All our routes are suitable for novice trail runners through to race winners; a novice runner may just walk a little more.

All routes can be adapted; if you need longer distance to improve your overall endurance fitness, then we can certainly add a few extra climbs and kilometers! Alternatively, if you need a faster, shorter, speed sharpener – well - we’ve got plenty of those too.

Before we even step foot on a trail, we’ll find out exactly what your level and goals are to enable us to put together a schedule to suit you. We are however flexible – even if your legs aren’t - and can adjust this if you want to change mid-holiday.

Less active friends and family members are welcome to come along too; there are plenty of other things to see and do in the area to make your holiday as active or as relaxing as you choose. For those accompanying you, but wishing to run a shorter distance, we can arrange pick-up at designated refreshment stops.

Meals

You will discover that the cuisine of Andalucia is simple and tasty, making use of what is seasonal and locally available.

Breakfast - You will be provided with a 'breakfast starter pack'*. Typical items include: Locally baked bread, olive oil and jamon, eggs, yoghurt, fresh seasonal fruit, tea & coffee

Picnic lunches - Ultra Trail Spain serves picnic style lunches. All lunches are provided on running / walking days. The meal typically includes: seasonal salad, hot soup (during cooler months), cheese or chorizo and other traditional meats, fresh seasonal fruit, soft drinks/ wine or beer

Evening meal - Your evening meal is taken at your leisure in a local bar or restaurant and typically costs between 9 and 15 euros. Or you may choose to eat in your accommodation, where kitchen facilities are available. Your evening meal is not included in the price of your holiday. Dinner menus typically include: tortilla, patatas a lo pobre, spicy prawns, pork and garlic, seasonal salad, paella.

Please advise of any special dietary requirements at time of booking and we will make suitable arrangements.

*Breakfast may vary if staying at Hostal Rural.
